This healthy peanut butter and apple snack is super simple to make taking a few minutes and only two ingredients.
Ingredients:
- One good sized apple (2 if they are small)
- Your favourite peanut butter (smooth or crunchy)
Peanut butter and apple snack method:
Place your apple on its side and cut into 5-8mm rings from the top to the bottom.
Carefully cut out the core and any apple pips that are in the centre of any of the resulting rings (not all of the rings will need de-coring). Remove the stork from the top of the apple and the “stem end” from the bottom.
Spread your peanut butter on each apple ring. Aim for about the same thickness you’d spread on toast.
Enjoy!
Bonus note: we often see this recipe done with apple wedges instead of rings. It is easier to cut and core the apple if you cut it into wedges, but cutting it into rings as we suggest here results in a flatter surface to spread your peanut butter onto, and a better peanut butter to apple ratio per mouthful.
